Anmerkungen
An old Framus guitar, shimmering red hair, a wonderful voice and a stage presence that is at once understated and fascinating.
Suzan Köcher is much more than just another girl with a guitar who sings pretty songs.
Deeply rooted in musical worlds that are far older than her 22-year-old self, Suzan spins a web of irresistible melodies that comfort the soul with their bittersweet charm and mystical spirit.
Her music combines psychy Folk with wild dusty Country and a Judee Sill-like melancholia.
In her songs rough and tender acoustic guitars and rumbling drums meet gloomy-baroque mellotron orchestrations, flowing harpsichords, shimmering lap steel and deeply reverbed electric guitars that meander between twang and fuzz.
In her lyrics she paints dreamy pictures of lost souls, wild gangsters and love both lost and newly found. She sings with her memorable and relaxed voice which effortlessly combines depth and ease making her timeless and quirky songs unmistakably her own.
Together with Blackberries- and Palace Fever head Julian Müller she recorded her first record, which will be released upcoming autumn via Unique Records.
During the last year she was part of the live band of Palace Fever where she shared stages with acts like Wanda, Ron Sexsmith, The Fratellis and The Sonics and where she performed her solo songs in front of a bigger audience. Also artists such as Dirk Darmstädter, Wild Feathers or Scott Matthew already invited Suzan as their support act.
Now it’s definitely time for her first official release and her very first headliner-tour. This Record Store Day on April 22nd, 2017 will see the release of Suzan Köcher’s debut EP „Blood Red Wine“ as a deep violet 10“ vinyl. Parallel to that she will perform several shows in clubs and on festivals. Keep the dates in mind and let yourself bewitched by Suzan Köcher.

Dandelion Fields. Peaky Blinders. Red Red Wine is a song originally written, performed, and recorded by American singer Neil Diamond in 1967. It is included on Diamond's second studio album, Just for You. The lyrics are sung from the perspective of a person who finds that drinking red wine is the only way to forget his woes. When Diamond left the Bang Records label in 1968, the label continued to release Diamond's singles, often adding newly recorded instruments and background vocals to album tracks from Bang's two Diamond albums
